It’s primarily known for its Fes El Bali walled medina, with medieval Marinid architecture, vibrant souks and old-world atmosphere. The medina is home to religious schools such as the 14th-century Bou Inania and Al Attarine, both decorated with elaborate cedar carvings and ornate tile work.

6 DAY MOROCCO KASBAH TOUR FROM FES

DAY 1 :TRAVEL FROM FES – IFRAN – AZROU – MIDELT

 Our journey starts as we embark away from one beautiful city to another. We will have a long drive through breathtaking long series of  the Atlas mountains, the area is rich with huge pine trees specially as we approach Azrou, we will stop there to take pictures with apes and monkeys in Cedar forest. The mountainous road continues as drive by gorgeous sceneries. We will have lunch in Midelt where we will spend the night at.

DAY 2 :MIDELT – ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA AND CAMEL RIDE TO SAHAAR DESERT CAMP

After having breakfast we will hit the road to Ziz valley but first we will pass by numerous Berber fortified villages formed with clay. We will also stop by Rissani and Erfoud and then later afternoon we will be found in Merzouga nearby the Erg chebbi dunes. Also known as the highest dunes in Africa, . In parts the vast sand pile reaches skyward to heights of 150 m. we will leave the vehicles aside and ride camels for 1h30m while the sun sets to the Nomad camp in which will spend the night. You will have a delicious meal with a Berber set, drums and humming and laughter.

DAY 3 : MERZOUGA EXCURSION

 We will have a mini tour in the area, stop at a local nomad camp and encounter its inhabitants and exchange few words with them. You will have a cup of tea while listening to Gnaoua music (the area’s specialty). We will continue to watch the naturally fossilized, and stop at Rissani, the first capital of the current ruling dynasty “the Alaouits” we will stop by the mausoleum of Moulay Ali cherif the founder of the Alaouits, we will also visit the traditional Souks and have a local made pizza for lunch. At evening we will return back to the Kasbah to freshen up. After that if would like to you could visit a Berber  family nearby to chitchat with. And well if you missed the sunset of previous day you will have the chance to catch this one. You will spend the night in a hotel or riad.

DAY 4 :MERZOUGA – ZIZ VALLEY – TINEJDAD – TODGHA GORGE – DADES VALLEY :

After having breakfast we will depart to Todgha gorges. The last is  1000ft is hemmed in on all sides by vertical limestone cliffs, it is also Morocco’s grandest canyon. You can stroll down the cliffs as to admire the changing color of rocks throughout the daylight. Our next stop will be Dades valley; fertilizer water source that gives life to a wide variety of colorful fruit and nut trees and extraordinary red rock formations  in the middle of Sahara’s crucial weather. You will spend the night in the area.

DAY 5 :DADES VALLEY – ROSES VALLEYS – OUARZAZATE :

After having breakfast we will hit the road to the valley of roses via the 1000 kasbah route , formed of thousands of  sand castles that date back to the 13th century.  We will stop at Kelaa Mgouna a village famous for its roses production and harvest season in which all peasants participate to display their products. We will have lunch in Skoura and visit one of its castles.  Later afternoon we will be found in Ouarzazat the African Hollywood, we will make sure to visit the massive and famous Atlas film studios where great movies like the Gladiator and kingdom of heaven were filmed. We will proceed to Taourirt Kasbah and stop at Benhaddou Kasbah, the last is Unesco world heritage site it serves as filming locations for numerous historical huge blockbusters like Babel, Lawrence of Arabia, The Legionary, The tea in the desert and many others. After having supper you will spend the night in a riad.

DAY 6 :OUARZAZATE TO AIT BENHADDOU AND MARRAKECH

 Today we will leave to Marrakech on the way we will stop by numerous landmarks such as the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, Telouet a berber village situated in the High atlas region and Glaoui Kasbah which belonged to a noble and wealthy family in the south. We will have lunch in Talouet and hit the road to Marrakech through the high mountain pass Tizi N Tichka.
